I HATE HEARTS. when i see people who draw hearts, sculpt hearts, tattoo hearts, anything with hearts, i immediately lose respect for their artistic integrity. hearts are visually uninteresting, uncreative and vastly overused. i really can't understand why someone would invest thier time in making something that is so incredibly plain and lacks any real elegance of form. this anger comes for my jewelry and metals professor. she told us at the beginning of the class that we were not allowed to invest our time in making little heart shaped baubles. and yet still, so many people would try to get away with making  them. is it really that hard to

i almost forgot that this place existed. i CERTAINLY forgot my password for it....but i made it back to see what was going on. how is everyone? i'm in college now. bio/education major. the school is cutting the fine art department.

so someone died in finland's sauna competition. thought you ought to know. i guess sitting in temperatures above the boiling point will do that to you. he was russian....so....i have to....in soviet russia, the saunas burn you. in other news, i have not seen more than 2 monarch butterflies this year.i am deeply concerned by this. usually there would be hundreds. and my boyfriend is on a canoe trip in canada. and i'm repainting my mother's kitchen and my niece's bedroom. and i haven't really done much in the art department this summer. it makes me very sad :cries: also, i started reading one of obama's books, dreams from my father. it's surp
